Overview

◾Decentraland is a decentralized social virtual-world platform where users can explore, create, interact, and trade digital assets. MANA is the ecosystem’s fungible ERC-20 token and can be used to purchase LAND, NAMEs and other digital assets or services within Decentraland. The ecosystem includes user-created experiences, virtual LAND, avatars, Wearables, Emotes and a marketplace for digital assets. MANA also participates in the platform’s broader governance and economic system through the Decentraland DAO. Decentraland operates primarily around Ethereum-based assets while supporting Polygon-based assets and experiences. ◾Decentraland is a community-governed virtual-world ecosystem built around user-created spaces, digital assets and social experiences. Users can explore virtual environments, attend events, play games, create scenes, customize avatars and trade assets such as LAND, Wearables, Emotes and NAMEs. ◾MANA is Decentraland’s fungible ERC-20 token. It can be used to purchase LAND, NAMEs and other digital assets and services in the ecosystem. Decentraland’s marketplace supports trading of LAND, Estates, Wearables, Emotes and NAMEs, with MANA used as a pricing and payment asset for supported transactions. ◾The Decentraland DAO provides governance infrastructure for decisions involving areas such as LAND, Estates, Names, marketplace contracts, grants and other platform components. MANA holders can also contribute to governance through Voting Power. ◾Established features include the virtual world, marketplace, creator tools, digital assets, DAO governance and mobile/desktop access. Ongoing development includes additional mobile experiences, platform improvements and ecosystem initiatives. Planned or in-progress features should not be treated as already completed.
