Overview

◾Orca is a decentralized finance protocol and automated market maker built primarily on Solana. It enables users to swap digital assets, provide liquidity and participate in onchain markets through concentrated-liquidity pools. ◾Orca also provides infrastructure for projects seeking liquidity and has expanded into permissioned pools designed for regulated real-world assets. The ORCA token is used within Orca’s governance ecosystem and is part of the protocol’s broader tokenholder framework. Orca’s technology is focused on decentralized exchange functionality, liquidity provision and expanding onchain financial infrastructure. ◾Orca is a Solana-based decentralized exchange and liquidity infrastructure protocol that began operating in 2021. Its core technology uses concentrated-liquidity automated market-maker pools, allowing liquidity providers to allocate capital within defined price ranges. Users can swap supported assets and provide liquidity through Orca’s trading infrastructure. ◾Orca has also expanded beyond conventional DeFi trading. Its current ecosystem includes liquidity-management tools, token-creation functionality and infrastructure for permissioned pools intended for regulated real-world assets. In May 2026, Orca announced permissioned pools designed to support compliant secondary-market liquidity for regulated assets, with issuer-defined eligibility and KYC controls. ◾These features represent established infrastructure, while broader adoption of tokenized financial assets remains dependent on issuers, market participants and applicable regulatory frameworks. Orca also maintains governance mechanisms through its tokenholder community.
