Overview

◾Quant develops software that connects blockchain networks with financial systems. Its Overledger platform offers APIs for applications that need to work across networks, including tools for digital assets, smart contracts, and payments. QNT is Quant’s utility token, issued on Ethereum. Quant says customers can subscribe to its platform with QNT or pay platform fees in USD; using Overledger therefore does not necessarily require a customer to buy QNT. Quant’s products and the QNT token are related, but a new commercial agreement does not by itself establish additional token demand or a change to QNT’s utility. ◾Quant focuses on interoperability: helping institutions and developers connect separate blockchains, applications, and established payment systems. Overledger is its API-based platform. Quant describes capabilities including standardized interactions across supported networks, asset transfers, smart contract tools, and token deployment. The list of supported networks and available features depends on the platform and plan. ◾QNT is an Ethereum-based utility token associated with Quant’s services. Quant’s current FAQ says a customer can subscribe with QNT or pay a platform fee in USD. It would therefore be inaccurate to assume that every institutional use of Quant software involves an onchain QNT transaction. Quant has also been selected to provide technology for The Clearing House’s On-Chain Money Initiative. That US network is planned to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027; selection of Quant is confirmed, while operation of the new network remains ahead.
