Overview

◾The Sandbox is a blockchain-based gaming and creator platform where users can build, publish and interact with digital experiences. SAND is the ecosystem’s utility token and is used for transactions and interactions across the platform. SAND is an ERC-20 token originally built on Ethereum, with The Sandbox ecosystem also supporting additional blockchain environments. The token has a maximum supply of 3 billion SAND. ◾The Sandbox combines blockchain technology with user-generated gaming and virtual-world experiences. Creators can use The Sandbox’s development tools to build interactive experiences, while players can access those experiences and interact with digital assets. SAND functions as the ecosystem’s utility and transaction token. The broader ecosystem includes virtual LAND, digital assets and creator tools. The project has continued expanding its development environment, including recent improvements to its engine, physics systems, animation workflows and creator tooling.
