Overview

Theta Network is a blockchain ecosystem focused on decentralized infrastructure for media, entertainment, and artificial intelligence. Its ecosystem includes the Theta Blockchain, which supports smart contracts, payments, and network incentives, and the Theta Edge Network, which provides distributed computing resources. Theta EdgeCloud extends this infrastructure toward AI and GPU-intensive workloads. The THETA token is associated with network governance and staking, while TFUEL serves as the operational token used for transactions and services within the ecosystem. Potential use cases include decentralized computing, video-related infrastructure, and AI applications that benefit from distributed resources. These roles should not be treated as interchangeable. On October 7, 2026, Theta Labs announced a collaboration with Weaver Labs to integrate Theta EdgeCloud with Weaver Labs' Cell-Stack ecosystem. The collaboration targets AI computing and edge applications for stadiums and venues. The announcement describes the planned integration and areas of cooperation; it does not establish that every proposed use case is already widely deployed.
